:::HEY PEOPLE:::
So our meeting with SGA was today and we think it went well. Who knows we might be an official club soon!! Cross your fingers!!
On the other hand, this weeks theme is ... ...Gantz!
This is a great anime and manga! I fell in love with it myself a while ago and never really got over the perversion, the blood, and the awesome plot line of what really happens when you die and what you could do to keep on living.
Seriously, give this a try. But I must warn you: lots of blood, lots of violence, lots of perverted guys.
::NEWSFLASH:::
Once the club becomes official we will be holding our first meeting! Look forward to it and make sure you check this blog and your email!
:::QUESTION OF THE WEEK:::
In line with this anime and manga of the week, does too much blood ruin an anime or manga? Do you even like a blood in an anime or manga? Why or why not?
I have to say that I love love love blood and guts, especially anime and mangas like Gantz and Elfen Lied. I don't like it though when there is tons of blood just for the sake of tons of blood. I do like the pervert blood stream, the one that comes from a guys nose, how funny would that be if that actually happened in real life? HaHa. I would laugh.

Blood is good. I mean after all it does kind of show that it's an anime but at the same time it's reflecting life. Though I doubt any one in real life could survive from the wounds inflicted on main characters in anime; ie Rurouni Kenshin, Basilisk, Shikabane Hime, and so forth. ^_^

I don't really care about blood at all... If it's in an anime, fine. If it's not, fine. I mean, some animes the blood helps make the show what it is, like Claymore and Sword of the Stranger. Otherwise some action animes can still be enjoyable without egregius amounts of blood, like Noir.
ReplyDeleteBlood can be good if it's done well. But too much blood can be, well, too much lol For example, blood in Bleach is just part of the action, and therefore no big deal to me. On the other hand, the blood in Devil May Cry 3 (the manga) makes it almost impossible to tell what's going on, and at that point, it starts to detract from the story. ~Jess
ReplyDeleteI think blood can really be an integral part of an anime series. Of course, it depends on which series you're watching. Personally I'm not a big fan of excessive amounts of blood, however, haha, if it's for one of those massive, ultimate techniques or attacks, then well, that's fine with me because the blood can show just how powerful said attack really is.
