Commentary:  I chanced upon this manga one day really by accident.  It's amazing what the randomize button can do for you because I ended up reading all of the chapters that had been out at that time in a night.  It is essentially Battle Royale, only it's an idea I can get more behind than simply sending teenagers off to kill each other because the government said so.  It's also more tied to an online game the people play, and is not nearly as fatalistic as 'there can be only one'.  It's still a great read, but very gory.  In the first chapter alone you see what happens to someone who stands too close to a bomb.  That is the only weapon provided by the way - bombs of varying types and classes, a unique one given to each 'player'.  There are also tense scenes involving rape, so if you are not of any sort of inclination toward that, please don't expose yourself to it.  Still, I do not think this is as bad as BR can get, or even other manga like it.  There is also a romance subplot, but that does not start picking up till a little later so it's not why I got hooked, don't worry.
